Our project Nixie tube clock requested well made and visually attractive PCBs since some parts of PCB may be exposed. For that reason we decided to order PCBs online. There are many manufacturers, but we had recommendation from several colleagues for JLC PCB company (https://www.jlcpcb.com/). What also attracted us are short build time and low cost which, depending on PCB complexity, size, and etc., can go as low as 2 days for all boards with price of 2 $ in total!
Adding fancy GUI (Graphical user interface) to your project can be very time and assets consuming. Sometimes you even want to upgrade existing design, so significant hardware changes are not possible. Nextion displays are great solution in such situations.
These are smart displays that help you develop front end look and functionality in just few hours.
UART is the easiest way to connect your hardware to PC or two devices to each other. In this tutorial, we showed how to use popular terminal programs and compared them. Docklight RS232 terminal (https://docklight.de/)
